Fact 1: Use lots of triangles, because they are the strongest shape.

Fact 3: Have our tower be lined up with the center of gravity. If our tower isn't lined up, our tower will most likely fall over.

  1. Why was the winning tower more successful than others? Because they had built a much better base whether ours nearly beat them or not. We didn't have much of a base at all because it wasn't steady at all and over night it fell and we were left with rolls of newspaper and improvised.
  2. What could your team have done to improve your design? We could've easily spent less time and tape on newspaper rolls and spent time on structure.
  3. If you could build the ideal tower, what materials would you use and why? I would use glue, pencil, and cups because all of those items together could work, and glue is more useful when using hard structured objects, meaning a cup base and pencil extensions.
  4. Look over the teamwork rubric and list two areas your team could improve. Our team could've fooled around less and because we did fool around, on the first day little to nothing was completed. Also, if we agreed with each other more it would have provided a better tower which could've won.
